Short answer: a strong Google Business Profile is verified and has an accurate name and category, a correct map pin, up-to-date hours, good photos, a description, products or a menu, and a reply to every review. Google's local ranking considers relevance, distance and prominence, and a complete profile helps with all three.
The checklist
- Verification. A verified profile is fully under your control and looks more trustworthy.
- Accurate name. Use your real business name. Google's guidelines don't allow adding keywords or a city to the name unless it's part of the real name.
- Primary and additional categories. The primary category does the most to decide which searches you appear in.
- Address and pin. The pin should sit right at the entrance so navigation brings customers to the right spot.
- Opening hours. Add special hours for holidays so nobody arrives at a closed door.
- Phone and website. Both should be correct and working.
- Description. Google gives you 750 characters. Say what you offer and what makes you different, ideally in Georgian and English.
- Photos. Logo, storefront, interior, products and team. Good photos help customers decide.
- Products, services or menu. The more specific you are, the better you match the right searches.
- Attributes. For example Wi-Fi, outdoor seating, card payments or accessibility.
- Posts and updates. Regular news and photos show the business is active.
- Review replies. Reply to everyone, positive and negative. How to get more reviews.
